On 24 - 26.09.2021 it was finally time again.

After the Corona forced break, the AMC Langenfeld could again organize a Vintage race on the beautiful outdoor track. Formerly called VOREM now "Race of Legends" there were besides the race classes divided by age also the new Stock Hornet/Hopper class, the Wheelie Fun guest class and the Show class in which the sweethearts could drive without time keeping and the especially beautiful or technically elaborately restored models are honored.

With almost seventy entries and about forty participants, it was a nice weekend with not only the good weather, but also food, atmosphere and fun with the old RC offroad models from model year 77. It could be talked a lot of shop 😉

Saturday evening great prizes donated by Tamico, ToniSport and Samtech were raffled. Our thanks go to the sponsors.

For the flood victims in the district Ahrweiler was collected and after rounding up by the AMC Langenfeld 200 € were collected, which will be donated directly to the district Ahrweiler.

Thanks to all participants who contributed something to the fundraiser 👍

All participants received a memorial medal and Thomas Peter from Cars & Details donated a current issue of the trade magazine for each driver.

Ralf Loch and his photo friends were on site and took great photos. Here are just a few examples showing the beautiful cars and some of the spirit of the event.

After the already well attended free practice on Friday, the course filled up on Saturday morning and we were able to run 3 complete runs from noon on Saturday. Sunday was followed by four more runs.
We drove each run as a final run without qualifying. So we could divide the groups better. This was necessary due to our Corona conditional to max 8 drivers reduced driver stand, so that in the B final, for example, not only two drivers are on the road. Also from the 2nd group the first place could be achieved. Everyone drove in each run against all drivers in his class. Of the seven runs, the best three were then scored.

Hanno filmed a lot during the weekend. There will be a nice compilation of the race soon.
Here is a little tour from Saturday morning:

Once again it was a really great weekend with positive feedback from the drivers. In 2022 Vintage will be driven again at the Race of Legends at AMC Langenfeld. We are looking forward to you !
